In celebration of the 83rd anniversary of its foundation, Sejong University is launching the "Find Sejong Alumni Abroad Campaign."

Through the "Find Sejong Alumni Abroad" campaign, the university aims to strengthen the bond between the alma mater and its alumni, as well as to boost the pride and networking of Sejong University alumni living overseas by providing updates on the university and alumni through newsletters.

Eligible participants are Sejong University alumni who currently reside overseas, including those who have obtained bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees from the university.

To participate, interested individuals should fill out the form below and submit it to Sejong University's Office of International Affairs. Those who submit their information will receive the university's newsletters and commemorative items. Additionally, they will be invited to the Sejong University Alumni Association event.

Submission should be sent via email to exchange@sejong.ac.kr.

Sejong University, located in eastern Seoul, has taken the 76th spot in Asia and ranked No. 12 in Korea in the "2024 QS World University Rankings for Asia," conducted by Quacquarelli Symonds, the renowned global higher education analyst. This year's edition stands as the largest to date, featuring a whopping 856 institutions hailing from 25 different countries and territories.

Sejong University tops Leiden Ranking on Korean univs

Sejong University topped this year's Korean list for the Leiden Ranking, a global university ranking that assesses the volume and citation impact of publications released by universities, officials said Monday. It is the first time for the university to top the list after ranking second for the last two years, Sejong University officials added. After Sejong University, Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) took second place, followed by Pohang University of Science and Technology (Postech), Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), and Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST). The university ranked 316th on the international list and 39th in Asia, five ranks higher than in 2022. For two years, Sejong University has ranked in the top 50 on the Leiden Ranking’s Asia list. The Leiden Ranking is compiled by the Center for Science and Technology Studies at Leiden University. “We have continuously reviewed and revised policies related to publishing research papers since 2013 to improve their quality and strengthen the support for publishing them in top journals,” a Sejong University official said. “These efforts have led to our achievement of being ranked first on the Leiden Ranking.”
