Introduction
The Department of Education acknowledges that the capacity for learning, creative thinking, and intellectual assessment are indispensable to an individual’s career development in the knowledge-based information society of the 21st century. The demand for and the status of education in the 21st century has gradually increased, because this area of study proposes to develop an individual’s capacity for learning as well as their competencies for working at educational organizations. There is especially a noticeable trend that has emerged with new types of jobs, which demand education majors. The Department of Education provides an opportunity for anybody interested in learning and researching about all fields that are related to education. The students comprehensively understand educational theory via educational philosophy. They analyze the phenomena of education, which are combined with social theory in educational sociology. They look into the psychological factors that influence development and learn with courses about educational psychology. The students learn the theory and practical administrative skills that are needed for the management and operation of educational and social institutions via educational administration courses. The students have learning opportunities in regards to planning and designing educational programs in various educational sectors, such as public education, adult education, lifelong education, and corporate education. Also, the students develop edutech-based contents. They acquire the ability to analyze educational experiences and outcomes by learning measurement, evaluation, and statistical skills. They acquire skills and experiences in order to conduct counseling services that are based on various counseling theories.
