Cultivating the ability of self expression, fostering fashion specialists with global perspective
Introduction
The Department of Fashion design cultivates students’ aesthetic sense, creativity and capacity to express themselves freely, fostering fashion specialists with a global outlook to meet the fast-evolving fashion business demand. In particular, our department specializes in digital fashion design with virtual wearing systems and wearable computer designs. We are the only fashion design department in Korea that has a convergence curriculum of entertainment software and luxury brand design. Based on the basic modelling principle and theory courses, such as Fashion Design, Draping, Flat Pattern, Fashion Illustration, 2D & 3D Computer Graphics, and Textile Design, students can progress to higher-level courses such as Fashion Design 1․2, Ready-made Clothes Design, Draping Pattern, Basic Clothing Construction, Fashion Marketing, Fashion 2D, 3D, and CAD, thereby developing their own fashion designing ability.

Develop our students’ ability to handle latest technology involved in the fashion field, and enhance their artistic sense and knowledge to nurture fashion specialists equipped with a global outlook.
Career Path after Graduation
With a fashion design degree, our graduates may choose a career path as a fashion designer, textile designer, stage costume designer, fashion editor, fashion illustrator, displayer, stylist, merchandiser, fashion promotor and fashion art director as well as explore opportunities to become a designer and marketing expert working for industrial or service companies. They can also choose to start and manage their own fashion or accessory design company. Finally, they can also pursue a career as a professor after obtaining Master's / Ph.D. degree, which is open to our graduates.
