Academics
Department of Aerospace Systems Engineering
Acquiring the underlying knowledge of military theory and aerospace
Introduction
In order to strengthen our nation’s air defense, which is on par with its ‘industrialized nation’ status in the 21st Century, a comprehensive systematic approach encompassing policies concerning scientific technology, national defense, education, and industry is required. Our department has the purpose of producing candidates for our national air force, the very people who can solve problems and offer directions of development, reflecting the demands of various fields and approaching them in a comprehensive, systematic way. We have a curriculum in which students take courses on fluid engineering, aerospace propulsion engineering, aerospace weapon systems, and avionics systems, thereby being equipped with systematic academic knowledge in aerospace engineering and system engineering. In parallel, they take military science courses like air warfare operations and leadership in the Air Force, arming them with fundamental attitudes and knowledge as officers who operate state-of-the art aerospace equipment. In addition, we provide an educational environment fitted for the technological advancement trends of our present time by developing and teaching courses focusing on new electronic weapon systems (such as radar) and related simulations according to the latest IT conversion trends.
