Introduction

This department has a long tradition established for the first time in Korea as a hotel tourism-related department in order to educate and cultivate talented people who will become a force in the hotel tourism industry, which is a strategic industry in the future.

Educational Goals

    Educating professional leaders with expertise and practical skills required in the hospitality and tourism industry which is a high value-added industry.

    Foster students with professional talent with an established service spirit required in tourism-related industries such as hotels, travel agencies, airlines, and restaurants.

    Offering the practical and theoretical education system based on actual case-oriented learning process to link the theoretical application.

    Support the establishments and education of tourism courses in specialized vocational high schools. In addition. its goal is to cultivate talented people of tourism education field that will contribute the advent of the leisure era.

    Provide students the opportunity of academic research and adaptation to theory and practice through on-the-job training at the fields such as hotels, travel agencies, airline companies and restaurants.

Career Path after Graduation

After graduation, students generally work in the diverse fields such as hotels and resorts, travel agencies, airlines, restaurants, casinos, theme parks, leisure companies and even government offices. In addition, it is also common for them to advance into other industries related with heir majors including the financial industry and so forth. They also have opportunities for employment in other industries that are not seemingly directly related with their majors.
