Introduction

The Department of Music offers courses in both academic and performing areas to help students grow to be professional musicians. With various liberal arts and humanistic courses, they are fostered to become true artists. We have majors in voice, piano, violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, and trumpet. Annual concerts (Concerto Night, Symphony Night), Opera, auditioned Freshman Concert, Concert for Winds, Piano Ensemble Concert, Choir Performances and many other performance opportunities provide students with various stage performing experiences. In addition, our department’s music camp helps students to intensively concentrate on their instruments and develop their performing skills. Our faculty members inspire students with performances and teachings in order to assist them to realize their full potential, which would ultimately lead them to play a significant role in the field of music after graduation.
