Insurance for International Students

Insurance for International Students

All international students are required to sign up for an international health insurance plan to help protect themselves from high or unexpected healthcare expenses incurred by diseases such as flu epidemics. Sejong University has made it mandatory for all international students to purchase insurance plans.

All international students are required to sign up for one of the following types of insurance plans:

  • 1) Medical insurance plan from overseas country
  • 2) Medical insurance plan available in Korea
  • 3) The National Health Insurance

  • 4) SJU’s Recommended Insurance Plan
  • - Insurance company: Hyundai Insurance
  • - Covered period: 6 months (Spring Semester: March 1~August 31, Fall Semester: September 1~February 28)
  • - Insurance premium: Around KRW 60,000 (changeable)
  • - Coverage and Claim: https://plus-insurance.co.kr:61512/main.php?en=e11
  • (Please select ‘Sejong University’)

You are required to pay the insurance premium along with your tuition payment.

If you have another kind of insurance, you can get a refund of the premium. Detailed information will be posted on Notice board in March/September.
