The School of Biological Science and Technology intends to nurture creative and proactive experts who will lead the fields of basic and applied biological science and technology, which are all deemed to be the next generation growth engines of the Korean economy. By integrating the bio-related departments and consolidating the academic system, this school provides quality education and synergy with research, and it can establish the basis for the convergence of BT, NT, and IT. The School of Biological Science and Technology consists of three majors, which include Food Science and Biotechnology, Integrative Bioscience and Biotechnology, and Bioindustry and Bioresource Engineering. There is a common basic curriculum for the freshmen, and an in-depth major program for sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
