College of Electronics and Information Engineering
The College of Electronics and Information Engineering was established in 2000, and it comprised of Electronics Engineering, Information and Communication Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer and Information Security, and Digital Contents.
The College of Electronics and Information Engineering aims to foster professionals who can perform creative research, development and production, armed with implementation ability and a pioneering spirit. This college has one department : the Department of Electrical Engineering, which was created by unifying three existing departments: the Department of Electronics Engineering, the Department of Information and Communication Engineering, and the Department of Optical Engineering. It was established to meet the demands of the rapidly changing information technology. Students in the College of Electronics and Information Engineering learn and research fundamentals and core technologies in Electronics Engineering, Information and Communication Engineering, and Optical Engineering through diverse teaching and learning methods. Freshmen and sophomores take liberal arts and fundamental courses in diverse fields with an emphasis on computer science and foreign language education. Juniors and seniors focus on theoretical and practical subjects, taking core major courses to acquire professional knowledge with creative and applicable capabilities.
