2025.11.25 339

Over 350 international students from 50 universities nationwide participate in a platform for employment, entrepreneurship, and academic advancement

[Seoul, ISF] Sejong University (President: Jonghwa Eom) announced that it successfully hosted the 6th ISF International Student Fair (Employment · Entrepreneurship · Admissions) on September 25 at the Gwanggaeto Hall Convention Center on campus. Co-hosted and co-organized by Sejong University, Stuvisor, and Careertus, the fair brought together around 350 international students from more than 50 universities across Korea, along with 55 participating companies and institutions.

The fair featured global hotel brands, employment and entrepreneurship support organizations, and domestic and international universities, providing diverse career opportunities for international students. In particular, the Korea Association of Foreign Affairs for Junior Colleges (KAFAD), the Indian Students and Researchers in Korea (ISRK), and the Vietnamese Students’ Association in Korea took part in discussions on enhancing employment and entrepreneurship support, as well as expanding transfer pathways from junior colleges to four-year universities.

In conjunction with the fair, the International Education Forum addressed strategies for internationalization and standardization of admissions procedures in the wake of the government’s Study Korea 300K policy. Sejong University emphasized the importance of a standardization-based admissions support system for international student recruitment, while Ajou University and Woosong University shared case studies of their recruitment and support practices, presenting practical approaches to internationalization.

In his welcome remarks, Prof. Chung Hun Lee, Vice President for International Affairs at Sejong University, stated, “This fair serves as a meaningful platform for universities to share their experiences and expertise, and to further improve student support systems.” Forum moderator JeongHun Han, Director of the One Stop Service Center, added, “Now is the time to move beyond quantitative growth toward qualitative development. Standardization is needed throughout the entire process of recruiting, admitting, and managing international students.”

Ocean Yang, CEO of Stuvisor and Careertus, co-organizer of the fair, remarked, “ISF will continue to grow into a comprehensive support platform that not only promotes employment and entrepreneurship but also supports academic progression for international students. We will further expand collaboration with educational institutions both in Korea and abroad.”

The 7th ISF International Student Fair is scheduled for March 25, 2026, and the 8th edition will be held on October 1, 2026.
