International Trade & Commerce
The International Trade & Commerce major develops global business professionals through practice-oriented education tailored to international markets.
Introduction
As international exchange among countries continues to expand and the world evolves into an increasingly interconnected global community, demand for both theoretical frameworks and practical training in international trade has grown rapidly across various sectors of society. In response to these societal needs, the International Trade & Commerce major was established in 2024 under the Division of Global Leadership.
The major aims to cultivate international business professionals and trade specialists equipped with the competencies and expertise needed to respond effectively to the global business environment. To achieve this goal, the curriculum provides balanced education across three key areas: practical business communication, foundational knowledge in international trade—such as understanding global trade systems, international trade data processing, and e-trade—and advanced, specialized knowledge in international commerce.
In addition, the program offers practice-oriented courses and project-based learning designed to develop essential skills required in real-world trade environments, including negotiation and consultation skills, data analysis capabilities, and strategic responses to global markets. Through hands-on training and applied learning, students gain a strong understanding of the practical realities of international trade.
By enhancing adaptability to rapidly changing international trade environments and developing professional consultation skills through comprehensive training in goods and services trade, graduates of this major are expected to play a central role in leading future trade and exchange activities in the global community.
